What is a facelift?
The sagging contours of the face can be easily countered with a facelift. We use the Quick Lift and MACS Lift techniques to smooth the skin, which do not leave scars behind the ear or pull on the skin to the sides.
More advanced contour sagging and excess skin is addressed surgically with the SMAS technique and complemented with neck subcutaneous muscle tightening (called platysmarrhaphy) and neck lift.
How is facelift performed?
Before the procedure
First, you will meet with our plastic surgeon who will recommend the most appropriate technique.
If the technique you choose is performed under general anesthetic, you will need to undergo a pre-operative examination.
During the procedure
The surgery takes 1-3 hours based on the technique you choose, which can be supplemented with chin liposuction and a neck lift.
After the procedure
If the surgery is performed under general anesthesia, you will be hospitalized in our clinic for 1-2 days. Otherwise, you will be discharged to home care 4-6 hours after the procedure and can perform your normal work after 2 weeks.
