Modern approaches to treatment
1) AcGen technology: A revolutionary approach in acne treatment
AcGen is an advanced method of acne treatment using radiofrequency. With minimal invasion of the skin and no damage to surrounding tissues, AcGen effectively disrupts sebaceous gland function and reduces acne. This method is clinically proven and offers fast and visible results without the need for pharmacological intervention.
No special preparation is required before the procedure. During the consultation, the doctor will focus on the specifics of the acne and determine the suitability of this method.
The course of the procedure: AcGen uses radiofrequency energy to disrupt the sebaceous glands. The needle-like or grid-shaped heads of the device are applied to the affected areas, causing minimal discomfort.
After the procedure, patients can usually resume their normal activities immediately. There may be slight swelling or redness, which quickly subsides.
2) Intralesional application of corticosteroids: targeted treatment of inflammation and scarring
This method involves injecting corticosteroids directly into the affected areas. It is effective in combating keloids, cystic acne and scars. With minimal systemic side effects, this treatment brings significant relief and reduction in the visible signs of acne.
A consultation with a physician is required prior to the procedure to assess the suitability of this method for specific scars or forms of acne.
During the procedure, the corticosteroid is injected directly into the affected area via an injection. The procedure is relatively quick and rarely causes significant discomfort.
Slight swelling or irritation at the injection site is common after the procedure, but usually resolves quickly. The doctor may recommend repeat sessions depending on the skin’s reaction.
3) Acne Scar Removal (Subcision): Surgical Solution for Deep Scars
Subcision is a surgical method designed for patients with deep acne scars. This technique allows the surgical release and flattening of scars, improving the appearance and texture of the skin. This procedure is often combined with other techniques for maximum results.
Prior to the procedure, it is determined whether it is suitable for the patient based on a consultation where the doctor assesses the nature and depth of the scars.
During the procedure, the doctor applies a local anaesthetic and then surgically releases the scars under the skin using a special instrument.
A short recovery period is usually needed after the procedure. Bruising or swelling may occur, but this will gradually subside.
4) Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment: comprehensive skin care
IPL skin treatment is a non-invasive and multifunctional treatment that includes acne treatment, pigmentation reduction and improvement of the overall appearance of the skin. The IPL method stimulates collagen production, resulting in a natural smoothing of the skin and reduction of visible scars and enlarged pores. Laser acne scar removal is very popular with patients.
A consultation is recommended before the procedure and sun exposure and the use of self-tanners should be avoided.
During the procedure, a specialized IPL head is used to treat the affected areas. The procedure is almost painless and takes approximately 20-60 minutes.
After the procedure, an immediate return to normal activities is possible. Redness and mild swelling are common but subside quickly.
