If there is one thing this era truly offers, it is the time we have to realize our big dreams. The journey to a perfect body could be one of them. If you have been dealing with weight loss for a long time and are considering procedures related to fat removal, now is the ideal moment. Join us on a small excursion to gain confidence, and perhaps next time you enter a reopened bar or office, you’ll walk in with the figure you’ve always wanted. You simply lacked information, courage, and time.
You may be struggling with lifelong overweight, not having control over your body as you once did, whether due to childbirth, aging, health problems, or despite having an exemplary diet and exercise routine, certain areas of your body never seemed to shape up because genes are stronger. In all these cases, fat removal could be the right solution. However, every body needs a different approach, which needs to be carefully evaluated.
First of all, it is important to realize that neither liposuction nor lipolysis are methods for weight loss. However, if you are losing weight, the possibility of locally removing accumulated fat is certainly something that will help you achieve your goal. There are several techniques used, and the choice of the most appropriate one depends on several factors. Personally, though, the most common approach is a combination of the latest methods and therapies, ideally involving nutritional counseling and a training plan. Interdisciplinary collaboration is the only truly effective path.
What is the difference between liposuction and lipolysis?
Liposuction is the actual suction of fat from the body. It is performed either under local anesthesia or general anesthesia (if the procedure is more extensive or multiple corrections are being made at once), always using a so-called tumescent solution, which makes the suction process easier. Liposuction is often part of procedures such as tummy tucks or thigh/arm lifts. The change is immediate, but the recovery is more demanding and longer.
In contrast, lipolysis is a slower but gentler process. This fat removal method uses thermal effects through lasers or plasma directly in the fat tissue. The inserted probe heats the surrounding fat, which dissolves and leaves the body through the lymphatic system. Modern device-based methods working on the basis of radiofrequency, cryolipolysis, or ultrasound cavitation use this principle — they disrupt fat cells. Once these cells die, they are eliminated through the lymphatic system.
And what is currently considered the most advanced procedure?
“Thermal shock,” in which the temperature in the fat tissue dramatically changes within a short time interval. This is how the ACRYOS device works, which our clinic has, and you won’t find it at any other Czech clinic.
In addition to being non-invasive and effective, modern device-based methods allow for exceptional skin care. You don’t need to worry that after removing a larger amount of fat, your skin won’t adequately tighten. The better the technology, the better the result. If a longer non-invasive lipolysis path is suitable for the client, we recommend including supplementary therapies to improve skin tone and elasticity. This will not only remove fat but also tighten the skin above the treated area. Even if the client opts for liposuction, we include selected device-based care in their protocol. Before the operation, we use the LPG device, which stimulates metabolism and activates the subcutaneous lymphatic system. During liposuction, we use BodyJet and PlasmaLipo technologies in the operating room. A few days after the procedure, we supplement the recovery with the LPG device again. It will stimulate the lymph, speed up healing, tighten the skin, and smooth the scars. This procedure guarantees an optimal, long-term result and minimizes the risks of procedures performed alone, such as skin sagging or worsening cellulite.
For liposuction and lipolysis, our clinic uses devices from the Monaco-based company RENEVE. The same brand also provides cosmetics for home care, which helps accelerate and improve the whole body contouring process by removing fat.
